When Isabelle walked into our Bethlehem atelier, we knew her vision would turn into something truly special.
Freshly married in early January 2025, Isabelle’s gown was a labor of love, creativity, and couture craftsmanship.
From Pinterest Inspiration to a Bespoke Creation
Isabelle arrived at our bridal studio with a collection of Pinterest ideas—each beautiful in its own way, but spanning a range of styles. What she was certain about, however, was that she wanted a slim A-line silhouette and a convertible element to transform her bridal look throughout the day. One dress, multiple looks— BK’s specialty! After some brainstorming, we developed an extraordinary combination of dress and cape-jacket-train that perfectly captured her aesthetic.
Inspired by Merryn, Reimagined for Isabelle
Isabelle’s gown was inspired by our Merryn style, known for its all-over texture made from tiny, repurposed workroom crepe scraps. For Isabelle, we reimagined this effect using silk chiffon and georgette, adapting the silhouette and neckline to complement her figure and personal style. The result was a gown that felt effortlessly ethereal yet modern, each piece of fabric sculpted with artistic intention.
A Cape with Vintage Flair & Versatility
The magic didn’t stop at the gown. To fulfill Isabelle’s desire for a detachable feature for her wedding dress, we designed a stunning silk organza cape jacket with a cathedral-length train. The cape was adorned with smaller ruched elements that echoed the dress, tying the entire look together seamlessly. The long, billowing bishop sleeves gave the cape a romantic, vintage touch—a perfect nod to timeless elegance and flowing beautifully with every step she took.
One of our favorite moments during Isabelle’s fittings was a happy accident. While adjusting her gown, we lifted the train of the cape to her neck and suddenly realized how stunning it looked draped over her shoulders. Inspired by this discovery, we added a delicate pearl button so Isabelle could wear the cape in an additional way, giving her even more versatility on her wedding day.
A Love Story as Beautiful as the Dress
Beyond the gown, Isabelle’s love story was just as enchanting. We knew she was a special bride when her fiancé surprised her by calling ahead to arrange for fine Champagne to be waiting at her first fitting. He made a special trip—an hour-long drive—just to make sure everything was waiting at the BK Atelier for Isabelle to have the most decadent experience. Needless to say, he set the bar high for all future fiancés!
A Custom Bridal Gown as Unique as the Bride
